House of the Dragon? More like House of lots and lots of dialogue. On Sunday, HBO's House of the Dragon, a Game of Thrones spin off, premiered its season two finale, and disappointed fans are taking to social media to post their opinions.
Spoilers are going to be in this article. So please do not read any farther if you would like to be surprised by the lack of action in the show's season finale. Just bookmark the article and come back later. You've been warned.
'House of the Dragon' Season 3:What we know so far
An uneventful finale
In the finale, Daemon Targaryen's numerous ghost hunts led to him to shoving his fingers into the face on a Weirwood tree, which happens to belong to George R. R. Martin, the author of the Game of Thrones series, according to showrunners. And he comes to the conclusion that he does need to support his wife/niece, Rhaenyra, in her ascent to the throne.
There's also an endless amount of dialogue, a once uncorrupt Alicent deciding to just give up the life of her first-born son (who she herself put on the throne, starting this whole mess to begin with) for the sake of her own freedom and the once cryptic and dreamy Helaena all of sudden began speaking clearly without any of the usual riddles that accompany her visions and prophecies.
The action, or lack thereof, left many fans trying to determine the point of the 70-minute finale.
People wanted cool CGI dragons! They anticipated bloody battle fields with the charred corpses of soldiers, not the burning remains of a town after a temper tantrum from Aemond. And we didn't even get to see him destroy the town!
Now, the general consensus is fans are frustrated that they have to wait another two years before they get any of the resolution they were hoping would come from this last episode.
Some people are saying that the finale just felt like a very long preview for Season 3, and an uneventful one at that.

Fans are disappointed
The episode itself seemed like filler that would've premiered in the middle of the season, but it definitely did not feel like a grand finale. Especially after the season spent the seven previous episodes building tensions between the broken Targaryen families, including the season's penultimate episode which saw three new dragons added to Rhaenyra's armada.
One person took to Reddit to call it a "let down," another person said "that season of House of the Dragon could’ve been an email"
But, at least people are taking to the internet to post their hilarious opinions on the episode and season to feel less alone.
Others are upset about how poorly written Alicent and her daughter, Helaena, are in this episode.
One person is happy that at least they have a new photo to send when they overhear some tea they shouldn't have
"If I send you this just know I heard your little conversation," tweeted @6_questions.
