Someone in Florida woke up richer this morning after winning the $215 million Powerball jackpot in Monday night's lottery drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at a Publix on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami Shores, the Florida Lottery announced Tuesday morning. The winner has not yet come forward.
Miami Shores is a village in Miami-Dade County, about 10 miles north of Miami.
If the winner chooses the cash option, they could leave with $100.1 million.
The Powerball jackpot has since been reset to $20 million ahead of the next drawing on Wednesday, with a $9.3 million cash option.
Before Monday's win in Florida, the Powerball was last won April 6, when the $1.3 billion jackpot was won in Oregon by Cheng Saephan, 46, his wife Duanpen Saephan, 37, and friend Liza Chao, 55.

There was a lucky winner in Monday's drawing. A player in Florida matched all six numbers to win the estimated $215 million prize.
In addition to the Florida jackpot winner, there was also a Match 5 + Power Play $2 million winner in Idaho, according to lottery records.

The winning numbers for Monday night's Powerball drawing were 7, 23, 24, 56 and 60. The red Powerball was 25 and the Power Play was 2X.
