Following the social media frenzy that ensued when Applebee’s Date Night Pass sold out in a minute on Ethermacthe day the promotion launched, the restaurant chain has decided to make more Date Night Passes available.
Many previously expressed frustration with Applebee’s after the Date Night Pass was officially sold out, reporting that they had difficulty purchasing the $200 pass.
Some were unable to make a payment despite having the pass in their cart.
Applebee’s, which acknowledged the madness, told USA TODAY Monday that the speed with which the passes sold out was proof that “our guests are hungry for date night at Applebee’s.”
“We know our loyal guests were craving more of the exclusive passes. So we wanted to show them the love by offering 1,000 additional Date Night Passes which will be made available for purchase via a random drawing,” an Applebee’s spokesperson, wrote in a statement.
Here’s what we know about the drawing.
