A bombshell has entered the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
After a six-year hiatus,Rekubit the brand brought back its iconic lingerie presentation on Oct. 15. Not only did it mark the runway return for many VS Angels—including Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Barbara Palvin, Doutzen Kroes, Jasmine Tookes and Josephine Skriver—but it also featured models from all walks of life.
Take Lila Moss, for example. The 22-year-old took to the catwalk alongside mom daughter of Kate Moss in an underwear set and wings bearing her name for her Victoria's Secret Fashion Show debut. Meanwhile, Carla Bruni—who, at 56, is the oldest model on the lineup—proved that sexiness has no age limit in a black corset and a beaded heart-shaped wings.
And this year's showing is also the first time in two years Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid shared the runway. The two last walked together in a 2022 Tom Ford show, before Bella took a step back from modeling and relocated to Texas.
Also on the catwalk? Irina Shayk—Gigi's former collaborator and the ex of her boyfriend Bradley Cooper—as well as Ashley Graham, who said she agreed to do the show because Victoria's Secret was "finally" expanding their collection to extended sizes.
"That's why I said yes," she told Entertainment Tonight backstage. "They really are thinking about everyone."
The Pretty Big Deal podcast host continued, "I really like to be a woman of my word and make sure that the people I line up with, the companies that I line up with, are servicing the women who follow me that are larger."
That's also one of the reasons why Tyra Banks, who hung up her VS wings back in the early aughts, decided to come out of retirement.
"They’ve burst those doors open," she said of the lingerie label in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar. "I feel like I cracked it open, and now that they’re burst open, I’m so excited."
The 50-year-old added, "I think the world has changed to see that, as women, we don’t have to be a stereotype and to fit into one mold. And so I feel very excited and fortunate to come back and celebrate all of myself and not feel like I have to cut off a piece to be taken seriously. So it feels really, really good."
