Despite the huge potential for the application of blockchain technology in the financial sector, a number of challenges remain. For example, scaling the performance and throughput of blockchain remains an issue, and further technological improvements are needed to support large-scale financial transactions. Due to the decentralized nature of blockchain, regulators need to find a balanced approach that protects the rights of investors and users while promoting innovation and development.

Many financial institutions and multinational companies have begun to explore and apply blockchain technology to improve the efficiency and security of their business processes.
