Yelena Belova is sworn to secrecy, but Florence Pugh isn’t (for the most part).
Pugh, who is set to reprise her role as the Marvel spy in the upcoming film “Thunderbolts,” offered a playful sneak peek at the set of the crime-action flick in an Instagram video posted Wednesday.
“Hey guys, how you doin’? I know that I’ve kind of dropped off for a little bit, but that’s partly because I was whisked off to Atlanta to go and shoot a movie that I’m not really allowed to talk much about,” Pugh says. “But I can show you some things, sneakily, as long as you don’t tell anyone.”
The “Dune 2” star kicks off the behind-the-scenes clip with a look at her Belova costume, a crisp sage green jacket and matching pants.
After cheerily introducing fans to some crew members, Pugh walks inside the film’s studio, where she stealthily points the camera at a tower-like set piece. “They’re shooting,” she says. “I’ll be quiet now.”
Unfortunately, Pugh’s exclusive tour eventually reached its limits. The actress was admonished by director Jake Schreier when she greeted the filmmaker and asked what parts of the production she was allowed to show.
“I don’t think you’re even allowed to be doing this most likely,” Schreier said, to which Pugh joked, “Someone’s going to come and rugby tackle me.”

Pugh wrapped the video by sharing her excitement for the film’s release, which is slated to premiere in May 2025, per IMDb. “I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve made,” she said.
The “Don’t Worry Darling” actress made her debut as Belova in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2021’s “Black Widow,” which starred Pugh alongside Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour and Rachel Weisz. The film grossed $379.8 million at the global box office. Pugh revisited the character for a three-episode stint on the Disney+ series “Hawkeye” that same year.

As for “Thunderbolts,” the film is set to revolve around a group of supervillains working for the government. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is on tap to reprise her role as shady group leader/recruiter Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, while “Black Widow” stars Harbour and Weisz are returning as Alexei Shostakov and Melina Vostokoff, respectively.
