LONDON -- Jailed Iranian activist Narges Mohammadi won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee, which is responsible for selecting the Nobel Peace Prize recipients each year, decided to award this year's prize to Mohammadi "for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran and her fight to promote human rights and freedom for all."
